Backyard Bash

I don’t know about you, but the past few months have been rough. Work had been a welcome distraction from the stresses life has thrown at us like our pup Maxie Roo getting hit by car – she’s recovering nicely after 2 surgeries, 6 days in the ICU and 6 weeks of physical therapy. Just as she was getting back to her old self, the baton was passed to me as my back and hip began to seize up. This made seemingly simple tasks such as walking, sitting, driving, or sleeping challenging for a few weeks, but I’m happy to share that I’m on the road to recovery.

And to top it all off, we’ve had one of the wettest springs I’ve ever see in Austin, which kept most Austinites indoors… not something we’re used to. Phillip and I have been waiting for this unfortunate cloud of stress (and rain) to lift and for summer to arrive so that we can reconnect with our friends and family. And there’s no better way to do that than with a good old fashion backyard barbeque.

Backyard barbeques bring people together in a way like no other type of party really does: the smell of food grilling, sun shining, ice melting in your drinks, yard games, laughter, grass between your toes. And they are usually pretty low key, which is what I need after such a stress filled Spring.

I encourage you to have a little backyard bash of your own. And to help you in planning that party, for this month’s Item of Value, Hindsite is giving away a Big Green Egg to one lucky client. The Big Green Egg will help make cooking a breeze and your backyard soiree less stressful. To enter, we’re asking you to share your favorite “grillable” recipe! And once the giveaway has ended, we’ll collect them into a custom Hindsite 20/20 Cookbook and share it with all of you. CLICK HERE to enter for a chance to win. And I hope to share that recipe with you in person soon.

With Gratitude,
