The Impact of a Great Teacher

My real estate career just turned 10!  For the last decade, I have built a business working exclusively by referral and building long term relationships with you, my clients, as the godparent of your homes.  In a lot of ways, this all began 14 years ago when Ada and I bought our first house in Austin.  We were referred (naturally) to the Broker/owner of Hindsite 20/20, Charles Escutia.  Charles became our teacher and led us through a process that helped us understand the real estate market and how to use real estate as a vehicle towards living a good life.  That experience also planted the seed as the possibility of a role I would love holding as the guide and teacher for others to help with something as impactful as the purchase of a home for their family or investment property for their future.

At Hindsite, I now get to help families make that purchase while being part of an organization that celebrates life-long learning and holds continuous personal growth as one of our core values.  When the time came for me to change careers, this core value was one of the main reasons I chose Hindsite as a brokerage.  Learning and growth is an ongoing and continuous endeavor and I now have the distinct honor of being able to share all my learning with you and the people that are most important to you.  Every day I am called upon to help with people with what is often one of their biggest investments, and I love helping them (and you) make the best decisions for you and your family.

All of us have a story about the impact a great teacher had on us over the course of our life.  That may have been in your first job, your high school algebra class, or the coach of your team.  Many households and families are preparing to go back to school and so for this month’s Item of Value, Hindsite is going to give back to local educators with your help.  We would love for you to nominate a deserving teacher that you know personally – someone who merits high praise for the impact they make and could use a token of appreciation to help make the experience for their students even better.  Head to (or CLICK HERE) to nominate a worthy candidate for a chance to win a gift card to spend on their classroom.  And, if reflecting on this offer brings to mind other teachers from your past, I’m sure they’d love to receive a note sharing what you learned from them… in the classroom, or out.

It’s a good life!
